Scope of Application: As one of the engineering testing and analysis methods, the rebar scanner is not only suitable for detecting the position, distribution, and orientation of rebars, as well as the thickness of protective layers and the diameter of rebars in concrete structure engineering such as bridges, tunnels, and walls, but also for detecting the distribution and orientation of ferromagnetic materials in non-ferromagnetic media.
Product Principle: The rebar scanner determines the position of rebars and the thickness of protective layers through electromagnetic induction. The excitation coil inside the instrument generates an electromotive force through electromagnetic induction, causing the output voltage of the coil to change. The rebar scanner determines the position of the rebars and the thickness of the protective layers based on this change. According to this feature, during the movement of the testing probe, the point with the maximum influence can be automatically locked, i.e., the point with the maximum signal value. The position of the rebars and the thickness of the protective layers can be obtained based on the corresponding relationship between the diameter of the rebars and the signal.
